Well... the project "CATSReno" is dead. Mainly because we are not doing CATS anymore. After a month of brainstorming and
thinking, I realized that CATS just won't work. It's simply too difficult for the age group I'm working with. I'm changing the show I'm doing.
I'm doing Little Shop of Horrors now. (I'm currently getting set up with MTI. This will be way easier for my start into theatical directing.)

Two months without updating my busniess journal isn't very busniess like. *shame*
Things I've done in the last two months:- Talked to Boys and Girls Club about project. I gave them my info as well as my timeline. They sounded very interested. Probably stuck working with 11-12 year olds though...
- Currently filling out the sheet to rent the theater. Next on my list is purchasing the production rights.
- Changed the design concept for the show. I'm experementing a bit. High 80's fashion FTW?
- Finished the plan for issue 1 of Aubren Beta. I just have to get off my arse and draw it already.
I'm also thinking of starting a EGL style clothing line that would be called Nya, and it would be a plus sized lolita clothing brand. I'd be calling the brand "Neo Rococco" though. I HATE the negative connotations the style name creates in the english language. I mean, kodona is the english/western language word for the ouji style, so I can use whatever I want as long as it's accurately discriptive. |

So the GS Proposal meeting went fairly painlessly, but it made me realize how much I had lost the vision I had at the beginning of all this. The project is being scaled back. Majorly.
It's going to be a theatre workshop/summer camp for ages 12-17 that will culminate in a showing of CATS. One show, a large cast of overeager teens slightly younger than me (I myself am 17.), and it's so much less intimidating! |

Tomorrow is the meeting with the Girl Scout Council to get the “official” official approval for the project. Then CATS Reno will be sending out letters to local large businesses and casinos for donations.
Today I will be meeting with my business advisor, and clarifing things.</lj> |

I've been writing some letters asking for donations, as well as posting on places on the internet.
